Yaron served as a company commander in the 931st Battalion of the Nahal Brigade from 2002-2006.

He is the founder of the Shards Project: This project was established in 2014 with the goal of creating safe spaces where soldiers can share their battle experiences with others who have had similar experiences.
Yaron has written a collection of short stories, as well as written and filmed a music video for the famous Israeli song called “Shards”.
“I wanted to find ways to free the memories, so they wouldn’t just stay inside my head. The Second Lebanon War and the Second Intifada still accompany me years after my release from military service. The battles continued…”
