From operational service to civic action — he chose to carry his sense of mission into life after uniform

Born in Katzrin, he served as a combat soldier in the Duvdevan unit from 2001 to 2004, during the Second Intifada, and later held a series of positions in the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet). He now lives in New York and works in operations management and development at an Israeli high-tech company.

Alongside his professional career, Roy continues to act from a sense of mission. He founded the organization Tzedek Avuri (Justice for Me), which worked to bring offenders who had fled abroad to justice. Today he leads the Tzivut Michal project, which helps protect threatened women in Israel.

For him, his service experience and the connection between civic initiatives and state institutions are a way to turn personal responsibility into a real impact on other people’s lives.
