Yaniv served as a combat soldier and sniper in the Duchifat Battalion from 2006 to 2009.
Yaniv believes every combat soldier experiences symptoms of PTSD, but that support from those closest to them and a more sensitive society can help them cope.
'I used to be afraid to talk about how I felt. Today, I know that the outstretched hand of a friend or family member can save lives.'
