After years of silence and pain, one embrace reminded me that the heart can heal
Oded served in the Golani Reconnaissance Unit from 1979 to 1982.
He lost many friends in the battles at Beaufort and Beirut, experiences that continued to haunt him after his discharge. Today, he shares a message with young soldiers about the importance of accepting help.
'When my daughter hugged me during the photo shoot, for the first time I felt that perhaps, after all these years, it was time to heal my heart, too.'
