Not tomorrow or the day after: now is the best time
A former combat soldier in the Maglan unit and an outstanding athlete, Elay was severely wounded during a military training exercise. After two weeks fighting for his life in intensive care, he began a long rehabilitation journey during which he had to adapt to life in a wheelchair.
Sport, a significant part of his life before his injury, became central again on a new path. Today, Elay is a Paralympic tennis player, represents Israel in international competitions and has reached a world ranking of 28.
He also lectures to soldiers, young people, organizations and sports teams, sharing his journey and his choice to keep setting goals and working to achieve them, now!
