Wounded on October 7, he returned to lead his soldiers on the front line

An officer and combat soldier who served in Duvdevan, the Givati Brigade and the Golan Reconnaissance Unit, Yitzhak was called up on October 7 to fight in Sderot and Kfar Aza. During the battles, he was mistakenly shot in the back by a civilian who thought he was a terrorist. The protective plate he was carrying apparently saved his life. He also lost close friends during those days.

After months of rehabilitation, while coping with the consequences of the war, he insisted on returning to service as deputy company commander in the Golan Reconnaissance Unit. Shortly afterwards, he led his soldiers into the campaign in Syria as part of the first forces to enter the area.
