From the front line to the workplace, turning the cost of reserve service into an opportunity for change

A reserve major in Brigade 228, CEO of the Lyra fund and co-founder of the “Reserve Service Mark” initiative, Yishai has served more than 400 days in the reserves since October 7. Repeated deployments take him away from his family, work and civilian life time and again.

Drawing on his own experience, he works to amplify the voices of thousands of reservists who must simultaneously be combat soldiers, employees and family members, paying a professional price for service their country asks them to perform.

For Yishai, the true test will come afterwards, when society must choose whether to see hundreds of reserve service days as a disadvantage in employment or as evidence of responsibility, leadership and commitment.
