Choosing treatment, leaning on loved ones and returning to life instead of suppressing the pain

Shahar served in the Paratroopers Brigade’s 101st Battalion from 2011 to 2014. After his service, he understood that difficult experiences do not disappear on their own, and that suppressing them can have a cost later on.

For the past three years, he has been receiving treatment that helps him cope, and finds great strength in his family, friends and the people close to him.

For Shahar, returning to life does not mean trying to forget what happened. It means choosing treatment, doing the things you love, persevering with them and refusing to give up on life.
