לפעמים החזרה הביתה היא תחילתו של מסע חדש

בת 31, אחות בטיפול נמרץ בבית החולים שיבא וחובשת במילואים בתאג"ד של גדוד 8717.

אחרי תקופת המילואים גילתה רותם שהאתגר הגדול עבורה הוא דווקא החזרה לשגרה. המעבר החד מהשירות לעבודה, למשפחה ולחיים שהמשיכו בלעדיה הציף שאלות על זהות, שייכות ועל הדרך למצוא מחדש את עצמה.

עבור רותם, החזרה הביתה אינה רגע שבו הכול חוזר להיות כפי שהיה - אלא תהליך שדורש זמן, סבלנות והבנה שלפעמים גם אחרי שחוזרים, עדיין נמצאים בדרך הביתה.

Sometimes coming home is the beginning of a new journey

Rotem, 31, is an intensive care nurse at Sheba Medical Center and a reserve medic in the battalion aid station of Battalion 8717.

After her reserve service, Rotem discovered that her greatest challenge was returning to everyday life. The abrupt transition from military service to work, family and a life that had continued without her raised questions about identity, belonging and finding herself again.

For Rotem, coming home is not a moment when everything returns to the way it was. It is a process requiring time, patience and the understanding that sometimes, even after returning, you are still on your way home.
