The war changed his life; his family gives him a reason to keep moving forward

On the morning of October 7, 2023, Roma left his home for the Erez maintenance base, which was under attack, and joined its defense. Since that day, he has served more than 400 days in the reserves and fought in Gaza, Lebanon and the Syrian sector. The battles, the loss of friends and the experiences of that morning remain with him today, alongside the challenges of returning to family life and everyday routines.

During the war, his eldest daughter, Tahel Or, was born. Her birth reminded him again and again of what he was fighting for, and of the life he wanted to return to. He and his wife are now expecting another child. For Roma, his family and the new life being built alongside the memories of war are a source of strength and hope to keep moving forward.
