The Story of

Roi Morag Ovadia

Photographed with: Nehemia (Chemi) Peres, Israeli entrepreneur and businessman, co-founder and managing partner of Pitango Venture Capital

Taking off the uniform does not mean taking off our responsibility for one another

Roi served as a combat soldier in the Duvdevan unit and continued in other military roles until he was discharged with the rank of major.

Today he is CEO of the Duvdevan Association, which supports the unit’s veterans in Israel and around the world, offering them a home and a community even years after they take off their uniforms.

For Roi, the brotherhood built during service does not end with discharge. He continues expressing the responsibility and mutual commitment he brought with him from the unit through his work for veterans and their families.
