When visible and invisible injuries continue to accompany the journey

At 17, Or survived a stabbing attack. The incident strengthened her sense of purpose and her wish to serve as a combat soldier, and she enlisted in the mixed-gender Lions of the Jordan Battalion.

During her service, she repeatedly faced threatening situations, including attempted vehicle-ramming attacks at the checkpoint where she served. The trauma she had carried since before enlisting deepened. When she sought help for her nightmares, she was discharged from the unit without being given the opportunity to say goodbye to her friends, who had become her family. During her service, she also experienced sexual harassment, which she says was neither addressed nor prosecuted.

Today, Or is studying dog-assisted therapy and dog training, building a new path for herself while coping with what she still carries.
