The Story of

Itzik Saidan

Photographed with: Ziv Shilon, entrepreneur, speaker and IDF officer severely wounded during an operation in Gaza

When everything is dark, the people along the way can be the light

Itzik served as a combat soldier in the Golani Brigade's 13th Battalion. Following difficult experiences during his military service, he faced PTSD and a complex period that brought him to a very painful point in his life.

His story and the struggle he went through made him one of the figures most closely associated with the need for recognition, treatment and support for people affected by PTSD following military service.

Along this journey, Itzik speaks about the people he met, whose simplicity, lack of judgment and belief in him helped him understand himself and find light again within the darkness.
