Turning his camera towards society, asking it to see an invisible injury

An artillery combat soldier, Eitan fought in Gaza and Lebanon during the Swords of Iron war. After about a year and a half of intensive fighting, he was discharged from the IDF while coping with PTSD. Sirens, explosions and the sounds of interceptions continue taking him back to combat, triggering flashbacks and anxiety.

Today, Eitan creates social experiments that examine human responses and spark discussions of social issues. He also brought his personal story to the camera, going out into the street to document how people react to a PTSD episode. Through this work, he seeks to raise awareness of combat soldiers’ injuries that are not always visible.
