Pasha Hatz – Combat Paramedic
On December 4, 2023, during a battle in the Sajaiya neighborhood in Gaza, Pasha served as the senior medic in the medical evacuation team of the Paratroopers Reconnaissance Unit.
While evacuating a wounded soldier, the armored vehicle (Achzarit) they were traveling in was hit by an RPG. The soldier he was treating lost his hand and was severely injured.
Pasha himself was critically wounded — losing several fingers and suffering shrapnel injuries that ignited his vest. Despite this, he asked the medic beside him to apply a tourniquet to his injured hand and continued treating the soldiers until the team managed to reach safety.
Since then, he has undergone 12 surgeries and returned to a full life, including riding a motorcycle — symbolizing resilience, courage, and an unbreakable determination to move forward
