Two combat medics, two journeys of coping, and one understanding: the way back need not be traveled alone

Or served as a combat medic in the Shimshon Battalion from 2014 to 2017. After his discharge, he found himself coping with PTSD and feelings of loneliness and abandonment, without the knowledge and guidance to help him understand what he was experiencing. Today, he lectures about his story and raises awareness, wanting others to receive the support and care he himself had sought.

Lior served as a combat medic in the Nahal Brigade from 2000 to 2003 and was exposed to difficult events during his service. When called up for reserve duty during the Second Lebanon War, he was severely wounded. Since then, he has undergone a long journey of treatment and physical and psychological rehabilitation. Alongside these challenges, he continued building his life, started a family and repeatedly chose not to let the past dictate his future.
