Their story
is the story of us all
Warriors continue to carry combat experiences long after the war ends.
Often, the realization that it is trauma only strikes once daily routine has already cracked.
Trauma that does not receive a timely response may deepen and become PTSD.
Established in 2020, SOS ISRAEL works to break the barrier of shame, raise public awareness, and place the mental health of warriors at the heart of the national discourse.
We create a safe space where warriors can pause, understand, share, and gradually return to a full life.
This is achieved through brave confrontation rather than suppression.

Our Story
Combat veterans from Israel’s wars continue to carry the weight of their experiences long after the battles have ended. For many, the realization that they are struggling with trauma only surfaces later—once the cracks in their daily routine begin to show. But it is vital to understand: trauma that is not addressed in time can deepen and evolve into Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Early awareness and the right tools can change the entire trajectory of a life.
It was from this understanding that "SOS ISRAEL" was founded in 2020. Our mission is to raise public awareness, break the barrier of shame, and place the mental health struggles of our veterans at the heart of the national discourse. We do this through a traveling photo exhibition featuring combat veterans alongside public figures and celebrities.
Over the years, we have led a broad media, social, and community-based movement across all platforms, building a community of over 4,000 veterans. This activity paved the way for a significant reform: the establishment of the "Green Track" within the Ministry of Defense. Furthermore, we developed a unique vocational placement platform where veterans share their stories with audiences in Israel and abroad—in companies, organizations, and exhibitions—turning their personal journeys into a bridge for connection, influence, and rehabilitation.
Following the outbreak of the "Iron Swords" war, a successor initiative emerged from our community: "Warriors for Warriors"—a social project that provides veterans with innovative tools for personal processing and expression through writing, storytelling, and public speaking.
We create a safe space for them to pause, understand, share, and speak—gradually returning to a normative life path. This is not achieved through repression, but through understanding and coping. When these veterans choose to tell their stories, they don't just rediscover themselves—they leave a lasting mark on everyone who hears, sees, and listens.
This time, we have the opportunity to walk with them—not only in battle but on the way back home. To help them finally set down the stretcher. And to uphold their right to a full and whole life.
